Omnicare has a proud history of providing industry-leading pharmacy and clinical care solutions to long-term care customers and residents. We are taking proactive steps to move the business forward and help ensure the continued delivery of safe and reliable pharmacy and clinical services to our customers and residents, including your members.

Omnicare has initiated a voluntary court-supervised Chapter 11 process to resolve issues related to recent litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The Company also intends to use this process to address other financial challenges facing the broader long-term care pharmacy industry and to evaluate all options, including the implementation of a sale strategy.

Here are the most important things you should know as Omnicare moves through this process:

  • There are no changes to how Omnicare works with you. Omnicare is operating as normal and remains fully committed to delivering safe and reliable pharmacy and clinical services to customers and residents.
  • There are no changes to how Omnicare supports your members. As Omnicare moves through this process, it will continue to support your members and fill their prescriptions.
  • Omnicare remains focused on working with your members’ facilities to ensure the delivery of their medications on time.

Omnicare intends to move through this process as quickly as possible, and we will provide updates as we move forward.
